Con-Ass Holes in the Hall

Would you dignify your Speaker of the House’s ignorance?

This report comes out today [Manila Bulletin, 06/08/09]:

It’s the job of the economic managers to take care of the economy. And it’s the job of Congress to pass bills and resolution. (Economic Planning Secretary) Ralph Recto didn’t make that stand when we were proposing Charter change. Now he warns us?” Nograles said.

The House leader said they never considered whatever negative impact of the resolution on the economy because the country’s economic managers have not warned them.

“It’s a fact that they (economic managers) did not make their economic stands very clear to the leaders of Congress when we were discussing charter change since last year,” he added.

That crap. As far as we know, a resolution, before it is approved by your honorable representatives, passes through a series of hearings in aid of legislation. They did not bother to inquire from the economic managers? Suppose arguendo that no inquiry is required toward the passage of the resolution, then please tell us why your honorables did not bother to do individual homeworks about the economic repercussions of their hastily, tastelessly, unhonorably baked HR 1109. Even my nine-year-old niece would tell you the agenda behind their selective ignorance:

Hello, Garci….

Leaders should lead as far as they can and then vanish. Their ashes should not choke the fire they have lit.
